DR. Patrick
Chapman ND
Dr. Patrick Chapman was born and raised in Santa Cruz, CA. He moved to Oregon in 1991 to obtain his undergraduate degree from Willamette University in Salem, Oregon (Spanish, Studio Art, and Pre- Med). After a stint living abroad in Ecuador teaching University English in 1996/97, he completed his naturopathic medical degree at the Natural College of Naturopathic Medicine (NCNM) in 2003. He is the co-owner of Sellwood Family Medicine with his lovely wife Leigh Ann, where he has enjoyed practicing family medicine for eighteen years. Dr. Patrick is looking forward to launching his new practice, Point Wellness, in Cannon Beach, Oregon in April 2021.
He has a clinical focus in diabetes, sports medicine, prolotherapy, platelet rich plasma injections, musculoskeletal ultrasound diagnosis and needle guidance. He has previously volunteered his time by serving in various professional roles: Oregon Association of Naturopathic Physicians (OANP) and the Oregon Board of Naturopathic Medicine. He is also an active participant in the OANP and member of the American Association of Naturopathic Physicians. In addition to specializing in musculoskeletal injuries, he also enjoys working with both pediatric and adult autoimmune diabetes.
Outside of naturopathic medicine his interests include: gardening, wood working, surfing, pottery, and spending time with his family and friends. Dr. Patrick likes to find himself submersed in nature and spending his free time exploring. Docere, the Latin root for doctor, means to instruct and teach. Dr. Patrick is a natural and gifted teacher and enjoys teaching various subjects: self-care, medicine, anatomy, surfing, and art.
